Human Resources Generalist

Mountain Engineering is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist with at least three years of experience in a private-sector corporate environment. You'll be a vital part of our team active in a broad range of HR functions with well-rounded knowledge of multiple HR disciplines with a focus on the full employee lifecycle. You'll ensure a seamless and positive experience for new hires and play a key role in maintaining compliance and operational efficiency. This position will be joining a dynamic administrative department supporting a civil construction, electrical line and environmental divisions.

Responsibilities

Team Collaboration

Support organizational goals and foster a positive workplace culture Assist in development and maintenance of policies and procedures Communicate ideas and strategies for improvement Collaborate with the other administrative departments as required Work closely with payroll to ensure employee information is provided accurately and timely Employee Support

Create a positive first impression with employees and candidates Serve as a point of contact for employee and management inquires, providing guidance and answering questions on a wide range of HR topics Maintain employee information in BambooHR Maintain confidentiality and professionalism Recruiting, Onboarding & Preboarding

Work with hiring managers to develop and post hiring adds, review resumes, phone screen candidates, make recommendations and participate in interview panels Prepare and send employment offers Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, answering questions via email and phone Oversee all preboarding logistics, including sending welcome emails, distributing new hire packets, and ordering drug screens and background checks Onboarding Day Management

Lead new hire orientation, guiding employees through presentations on company policies, tools, and procedures Occasional remote onboard coordinated through Teams Assist with the completion of onboard paperwork including I-9 and E-Verify Coordinate with other departments, such as IT and Safety, for equipment and safety gear Train new hires on key systems like BambooHR and ClickTime for time tracking and expense reports Administrative & Compliance

Experience with FMLA, CFRA, PFL and ADA Conduct monthly audits for various internal programs including training compliance Maintain employee information in BambooHR Other duties as assigned Offboarding

Oversee offboarding procedures by sending out offboarding emails and coordinating with IT/Safety for asset retrieval Perform exit interviews What you'll bring:

Minimum 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Support role HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus Familiar with Labor Unions and CBA's a plus Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail Excellent communication skills Experience speaking in small group settings The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently A professional and friendly demeanor Proficiency with HRIS systems, preferably BambooHR, and familiarity with onboarding and offboarding processes.
