Summary:
This position is responsible for planning and managing material-level jobs, supporting machine scheduling, and ensuring accuracy in production scheduling. The role also includes monitoring and maintaining alternate methods, parameter planning, and supporting shop floor employees with job traveler and scheduling needs. This planner will also serve as backup for the other planner when needed. This is a salary, non-exempt position and reports to the Manufacturing/Inventory Control Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support and assist in the machine schedules and purchasing suggestions for all jobs.
Aid and support all departments in custom job travelers for testing and/or product development.
Evaluate and review item usage, modify and/or update manufacturing parameters for material planning.
Review MRP suggestions daily and process job travelers based on material availability.
Apply parameters for NEW parts and support release from manufacturing hold.
Monitor and adjust material-level job schedules based on usage history, demand, and lead-time.
Aid and support shop floor employees regarding job travelers and scheduling questions.
Maintain accuracy of machine schedules and planning processes.
Support the monitoring of alternate methods and provide parameter planning recommendations.
Support the other planner when workload or backup coverage is required.
Maintain compliance with company policy, safety, and good housekeeping practices.
Engage in effective communication with the manufacturing manager and supervisor regarding process flow.
Engage in all continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience .
2-3 Years of Manufacturing Experience.
Experience using Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) .
Experience utilizing Google Email/Sheets/Docs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of materials and scheduling processes.
Solid computer skills.
Must be an ambitious self-starter with effective people skills, capable of working in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
