Medical Assistant
We are a unique and thriving small medical practice located in
Lithonia, GA , specializing in the intersection of
Cosmetic Medicine
(e.g., injectables, laser treatments, minor procedures) and
Integrative Medicine
(e.g., hormone replacement, IV therapy, weight management). We are dedicated to helping our patients achieve optimal health and aesthetic goals.
We are seeking an experienced, polished, and enthusiastic
Medical Assistant (MA)
to join our dedicated team. This is a
full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity
for a flexible candidate interested in the dynamic field of aesthetic and functional medicine.
The Role: Medical Assistant
This is a key, dual-role position where you will be an essential partner to our physician(s), managing both the clinical and administrative flow of the practice.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical/Back Office Support (Cosmetic & Integrative):
Assist the physician
during various procedures, including minor cosmetic treatments (e.g., numbing, setup, cleanup) and IV therapy preparation. Prepare patients for appointments, including measuring
vitals , obtaining medical history, and documenting patient concerns. Perform accurate
phlebotomy
(blood draws) for diagnostic testing and specialty labs. Administer therapeutic and maintenance injections (e.g., vitamins, hormones) as directed by the physician. Maintain clinical supplies, stock treatment rooms, and ensure a sterile environment. Educate patients on post-treatment care and supplement protocols. Administrative/Front Office Support:
Serve as a brand ambassador, providing a warm and professional welcome to all patients. Manage multi-line phones, schedule cosmetic and medical appointments, and confirm eligibility for insurance/services. Process patient payments (co-pays, cosmetic procedure fees) and manage outstanding balances. Handle confidential patient records and billing information in compliance with
HIPAA . Manage inventory of cosmetic products and supplements. Qualifications
Required:
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)
preferred, or equivalent experience/training. Minimum of
2 years of recent experience
working as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting. Proven proficiency and comfort with
phlebotomy
and administering various types of injections. Highly professional demeanor and a polished appearance suitable for a cosmetic/aesthetic medical setting. Excellent computer skills and experience with
Electronic Health Records (EHR)
systems. Desired (A Big Plus):
Experience in
Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Aesthetics, or Integrative/Functional Medicine . Knowledge of cosmetic procedures (e.g., BOTOX, dermal fillers, lasers) and/or specialty lab testing (e.g., hormone panels). Compensation & Application
