Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections, review vendor documentation, and ensure compliance with engineering specs. Role involves identifying non-conformances, supporting continuous improvement, and working closely with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
Job Description
Review of vendor documentation, including Material Test Reports, to ensure compliance with Engineering specifications Perform visual and dimensional inspection of manufactured components using standard inspection equipment Equipment used to perform inspections includes calipers, micrometers, hard gauges, profilometers, optical comparators, and micro-hite Identify and document non-conformances to be dispositioned by technical authority Raise change requests to Engineering upon identifying design for manufacturability concerns Liaising with functional groups for all Quality Control-related activities/problems Interfacing with Customer/Third Party/certifying authority representatives, as required Participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives Skills Required
3+ years related experience Be results-driven with a keen eye for detail Good communication skills. Ability to read drawings and understand GD&T Understanding of the machinist handbook (ASME, ASTM, ISO17025) Ability to use a dial caliper and micrometer for measuring parts Knowledge in dimensional testing and manufacturing Inspection background, CMM experience, geometric dimension, understand engineering terms, and can read a drawing Tools/Software: SAP is a plus English-proficient Education/Training/Certifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent Pay Rate/Salary
$28.00 - $33.00/hr. depending on experience
