Join our team as a QA Tech/Packer where you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and quality production during our evening shifts. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a food safety environment. Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and document supporting equipment to enable efficient and quality production. Prepare packing machines for production and make necessary adjustments according to the schedule. Pre-stage rolls of film for production runs and store them away at the end of the shift. Lift film rolls (up to 60 lbs.) onto the packing machine and lift formers (up to 50 lbs.) on and off the machine at shoulder height. Use printers to apply appropriate codes and prices on bags, labels, and cases. Select the correct scale and bagger programs for the scheduled SKUs. Program, troubleshoot, and adjust scale and bagger programs to ensure consistent feed and efficient bag weights. Routinely check bag weights, code dates, prices, packaging seals, and bag integrity. Carry out daily assignments following all established department SOPs. Operate an overhead shaker conveyor system to ensure product delivery to correct machines. Ensure and oversee shift compliance with safety procedures and programs. Clean and sanitize production areas and supporting equipment at the end of each day following SSOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices. Assist in training new operators. Maintain an organized and sanitary work environment at all times. Complete all manufacturing paperwork, record, and scan seasoning usage. Manage data entry in Redzone efficiently and accurately. Perform other duties as assigned to support company and department objectives. Essential Skills
Minimum of 1 year QA experience. Computer proficiency. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety and packaging machines. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a food safety environment is a plus. Experience in the plastics industry is acceptable. Why Work Here?
