Contract Specialist

The Contract Specialist is responsible for negotiating and administering contracts related to the resale of software, hardware, cloud solutions, and IT services while ensuring adherence to SHI standards. This role involves maintaining documentation, preparing contractual provisions, reviewing agreements for risk, and interfacing with internal departments to negotiate terms. The Contract Specialist will manage high-volume activity, create executive summaries, and analyze contract-related information to support customer-facing and vendor-facing teams. Responsibilities include: Negotiating and administering contracts for the resale of software, hardware, cloud solutions, and IT services. Administering requests for contractual forms, documents, and customer contracts as per agreed terms. Maintaining documentation to support contract administration and execution. Participating in the preparation and development of contractual provisions and contract proposals. Reviewing Customer and Partner/Vendor agreement terms to ensure consistency with SHI standards. Interface with SHI Salesforce and internal departments to develop contractual documents. Reviewing contracts with Customers and Vendors for risk and address redlines. Managing high-volume activity while ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLA) responses are met and escalated as required. Creating executive summaries of contract proposals and reviewing for contractual issues to report to management for resolution. Preparing and distributing final contract documents to all listed contacts. Skill level requirements include: Ability to understand contract context - Basic Ability to meet SLAs and manage high-volume activity - Basic Ability to multitask and complete tasks with efficiency and accuracy - Basic Other requirements include: Completed Bachelor's degree (English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing preferred) 1-3 years experience with contracts Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite - Word and Track Changes, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint The base salary for this position is $50,000 - $80,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
