What you can look forward to as a Material Handler

1st & 2nd Shift positions available

Position Summary:

Supports the Distribution Center in Shipping, Receiving, Packaging or Returns.

Position Responsibilities:

• Inspect, sort, store, and perform data entry for all core, inbound part/unit shipments, and returned goods according to established TS procedures.
• Issue OS & D reports for non-compliant shipments according to TS procedures.
• Pick and pack assigned parts according to shop order pick tags or use of RF handheld devices.
• Support shop order activities by picking parts for shop unit builds, fulfilling Kan-Ban systems, and completing return to stock transactions.
• Transfer stock physically and electronically using computer and/or RF guns. Pick and pack customer orders by unit/parts according to order notes.
• Weight, route, stage, and load freight according to order notes and carrier instructions.
• Operate Reach, Manup, Sitdown Forklifts, Wav, and Walkie rider as needed. Use hand carts.
• Support safety and good housekeeping in the Distribution Center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your profile as a Material Handler

Required Education, Skills & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous distribution/warehouse experience required.
• Basic PC skills required (on/off, read screen, toggle, use mouse, check inventory).
• Forklift experience and proper use of hand tools required.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Exposure to TQM’s and TS/QS 9000.
• Knowledge of ZF part numbers and names is a plus.

Physical demands: Standing for extended periods (up to 6 hours), walking up to 2 miles/day, handling objects/tools, operating power tools, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, bending, communicating verbally, hearing safety indicators. Occasionally lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus.

Work Environment: Warehouse environment with some office exposure.

Compensation: The base pay ranges from $19.50 to $21.50/hour on 1st shift, with a 10% shift differential for 2nd shift. Actual pay varies based on factors relevant to the role.
