Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager with strong AutoCAD drafting skills to support the planning, coordination, and execution of rigging projects. This role bridges the gap between design and implementation, ensuring technical accuracy and smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist team in coordinating all phases of rigging projects from inception to completion.
Create and revise detailed rigging drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop rigging system designs.
Collaborate with engineers, installers, and clients to ensure design intent and safety standards are met.
Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Prepare documentation including submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
Conduct site visits and assist with field measurements and installation oversight.
Maintain organized project files and communication logs.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Technical Theater, Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
2+ years of experience in project coordination or drafting, preferably in theatrical rigging or construction.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D a plus).
Familiarity with rigging hardware, systems, and safety standards (ETCP knowledge a plus).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Vectorworks, Revit, or other CAD platforms.
Knowledge of stagecraft and live event production.
ETCP certification or interest in pursuing certification.
Familiarity with OSHA and standards related to rigging.
