Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and improving business processes through the strategic application of technology. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, leveraging ERP systems, AI (including generative AI), custom application development and other technologies to drive operational efficiency and innovation.

Primary Responsibilities (May include but not limited to):
  • Analyze and document current business processes across departments and business units.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, including recommending appropriate technologies to apply to proposed process improvement.
  • Design and propose technology-driven solutions using:
    • ERP system capabilities (e.g. Infor M3, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor).
    • AI and generative AI tools.
    • Microsoft Power Applications (Power Automate, Power BI, etc.)
    • Custom application development (in collaboration with developers).
    • Other technologies as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and internal/external technical partners.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
  • Develop, execute, and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Track project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues or risks.
  • Report on project status, outcomes, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation, testing, and rollout of new systems and enhancements.
  • Provide training and documentation for end-users.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions. This includes showing the process improvements from the As Is to the To Be process, along with associated time studies to validate efficiencies gained in the new process.
  • Ongoing support and roll out upgrades with new features and functionality. Work with business leads to identify test cases and validate into production.
Supervision Received

Must be disciplined and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision to meet objectives and deadlines.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer information science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must understand systems analysis and project management concepts.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience developing business proposals for information systems.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Knowledge or experience with ERP systems, custom application development, Microsoft Power Apps and generative AI solutions.

Location

The position is based in the PVS Chemicals Corporate Headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. Travel is a requirement of this position (up to 25 percent).
