FreeBSD System Administrator
to support the implementation of a new application into a FAMP stack (FreeBSD, Apache, MySQL, PHP). This role involves close collaboration with developers and requires deep expertise in FreeBSD system internals, particularly FreeBSD Jails and ZFS. Responsibilities: Assist in the deployment and configuration of an application within a FreeBSD-based FAMP stack. Set up and manage
FreeBSD Jails
for application isolation and environment control. Optimize and manage
ZFS
storage for performance, redundancy, and scalability. Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth code deployment and integration. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack (system, web, database). Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience with
FreeBSD system administration . Expertise in setting up and maintaining
FreeBSD Jails . In-depth knowledge of
ZFS
(snapshots, replication, tuning). Familiarity with the
Apache, MySQL, PHP (FAMP)
stack. Comfortable working alongside developers and understanding code deployment workflows. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in scripting and automation (e.g., shell, Python). Familiarity with secure system configurations and monitoring tools. Seniority level
