Were looking for an HR Consultant who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution someone who rolls up their sleeves to get things done while keeping the big picture in focus. Youll serve as the outsourced HR leader for a portfolio of small-to-mid-sized businesses, acting as a trusted advisor to owners and leadership teams while owning the day-to-day people operations. This is not a role for someone who only advises from the sidelines. Were looking for a true partner someone who embeds themselves in their clients businesses, understands their people and culture, and delivers proactive, thoughtful HR solutions that drive results. Location: This is a hybrid role based in Houston, TX. Youll spend your time between our office, client sites, and your home office wherever youre most effective. Very occasional overnight travel may come into play depending on client locations. We dont micromanage your time; we trust you to own your work and deliver excellence. Core Responsibilities: Strategic HR Partnership Work directly with business owners and leadership teams to align people strategy with business goals. Advise on organizational structure, workforce planning, and leadership development. Build trust through insight, clarity, and a deep understanding of your clients culture and needs. Own the full spectrum of HR: recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, training, and compliance. Provide hands-on support to execute HR initiatives while maintaining a strategic perspective. Compliance & Risk Management Audit and improve policies, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws. Identify potential risks and craft solutions that protect both the business and its employees. Employee Relations Serve as the go-to resource for employee issues coaching leaders through tough conversations, mediating conflicts, and fostering positive workplace cultures. Talent Acquisition & Development Lead hiring efforts, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding. Help clients attract, develop, and retain high-performing teams. HR Policy & Process Design and implement tailored policies, procedures, and handbooks for each client. Partner with our administrative team to ensure smooth HR operations, including recordkeeping, payroll, and benefits administration.
