Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair duties on facility equipment and building structures, with additional responsibilities for grounds maintenance. This position operates in compliance with all applicable EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA safety regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain:
Industrial electrical power and control systems Vacuum systems Pneumatic and hydraulic systems Mechanical systems Food processing and packaging equipment
Install processing and packaging equipment under supervision Perform preventative maintenance programs Read and interpret basic electrical schematics Cut, drill, and measure materials using hand tools and machine shop equipment Weld stainless steel and carbon steel as needed Repair facility buildings and grounds as required Follow all GMPs and food safety procedures Perform other duties as assigned Requirements & Qualifications:
Preferred: 5+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field Experience in meat manufacturing or USDA/FSIS-regulated environments is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to interpret and apply instructions in various formats (written, oral, diagrams, schedules) Basic math skills, including fractions, ratios, and proportions Must maintain a professional and positive attitude Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a cold, loud plant environment Requires physical stamina, including:
Frequent stooping and bending Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs regularly Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks
