Technology is constantly changing, and our adversaries are digitally exceeding law enforcements ability to keep pace. Those charged with protecting the United States are not always able to access the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism. The Government has trusted Peraton to provide the technical ability, tools, and resources to bring criminals to justice. In response to this challenge, Peraton is seeking a talented Database Engineer (Mid) with expertise in Database Development. Responsibilities include: Design, develop, build, analyze, evaluate, and install database management systems, including database modeling, relational database architecture, metadata, and repository creation and configuration management. Utilize data mapping, data mining, and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases. Determine data storage needs and optimize storage requirements. Prepare system requirements, source analysis, process analyses, and design throughout the database implementation lifecycle. Evaluate, size, and select technology components such as software, hardware, and networking capabilities for database management systems and application databases. Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability. Implement comprehensive backup and database replication solutions. Qualifications
Candidates must have: A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph. 7 years of experience with AS/AA; 5 years with BS/BA; or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree. At least 3 years of experience with Data Modeling, Data Warehouse architecture, implementation, and Operations & Maintenance. 5 years of experience with data tools including MSSQL Change Data Capture (CDC), Apache Flume, and Postgres. 3 years of experience with Microsoft PowerShell and Power-BI. 5 years of experience building or maintaining high-availability systems, including failovers, backups, scaling, and clustering.
