Job Description
AtkinsRéalis is looking to recruit an innovative Technical Architect or Architectural Technologist to join our growing Birmingham team, as part of the wider Midlands, South-West, and Wales business region.

Within the Midlands, South-West, and Wales, we have nearly 200 professionals involved in designing the built environment across sectors like Education, Commercial, Energy, Defence, and Residential. Our team includes architects, technologists, interior designers, landscape architects, and surveyors, ranging from graduates to senior leaders. Supporting and mentoring our staff is key to our success and innovation.
This role offers the chance to lead projects and work with a creative team committed to design excellence and professional growth.
Your Purpose:
Hold RIBA Part 3 or CIAT accreditation with 3-5 years' experience on complex projects and knowledge of UK Building Regulations. Experience across sectors, working directly with clients and contractors, leading design teams. What you can bring:
Understanding of the design process and RIBA Plan of Work, capable of managing projects from concept to on-site delivery. Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring coordination and resolving interfaces. Skills in materials selection, specification, detailed design, and proficiency with NBS software. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD; experience with Navisworks, BIM model federation, clash detection, and site management is desirable. A track record of delivering projects of varying sizes and complexities with accuracy and consistency. Strong interpersonal skills, organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under pressure. Self-motivated, flexible, positive attitude, and team-oriented mindset.
