We are seeking an experienced
Sr. Cloud
Data Warehouse Architect
to own enhancements, design, implementation, and maintenance, including improving performance and scalable and of our data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing the architectural framework, strategies, solutions, processes and procedures that ensure data integration, consistency, quality, and governance across multiple systems meet our growing business demands. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform architecture design, strategy, process definition and solutions to enhance our business needs around driving data driven decision making, improving business access to real time KPI’s. and tools for communication business value to our customers through modern data solutions, tools and software. Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions. Enhance, grow, improve and Design and implement our three tier architecture data warehouse solution, with a heavy emphasis on building out our star schema gold layer architecture to drive business KPI’s, within an enterprise data warehouse (EDW) to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. Assist with strategic planning and execution on all data warehousing initiatives, in addition, with improving the maturity and use of data strategies, data analytics and data design to drive business outcomes, improving trend analysis, departmental performance, operational metrics and customer key data points leveraging both visualization and advanced architectural techniques. Improve, analyze and recommend enhancements to troubleshoot and maintain all reporting environments, including, but not limited to existing Snowflake Data Warehouse and DBT pipelines. Apply expertise in Medallion architecture and Data Lake concepts. Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business processes and performance objectives. Build out tools for monitoring the performance and resiliency of the suite of tools and software that drives enterprise reporting. Create and manage a comprehensive data warehouse expansion roadmap, establishing and enforcing data architecture standards, metadata management practices, data quality measures, and governance protocols. Define, teach and track a set of Data Warehouse coding and implementation standards followed by all technical resources. Deploy cloud-based data warehousing solutions utilizing Snowflake, with capability to incorporate Redshift, Synapse, or on-premises platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring HIPAA compliance and PHI data security. Oversee integration of data from multiple source systems, including NetSuite, Salesforce CRM, third-party APIs, and internal databases; ensuring up time tracking solution are optimized, quality is enforced and maintained and best practices are followed. Optimize data storage strategies, partitioning, indexing, and query performance for maximum efficiency. Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and data masking functionalities within Snowflake. Ensure ongoing compliance with data security and privacy regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC2. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 7+ years of experience in data architecture and data warehouse development. Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and data mart design. Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse). Strong experience developing and rolling out mature coding standards, processes, policies and best practices around data warehouse and enterprise reporting architecture, design and implementation. Expertise in SQL, performance tuning, and database optimization. Experience with data governance, data quality tools, and MDM solutions. Understand and adhere to DevOps best practices using CI/CD (e.g., github, Azure devops) Expand and enhance with DBT / QLIK for CDC and data transformation Preferred Qualifications: Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer Associate). Familiarity with modern data stack: dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Looker, etc. Experience with real-time streaming data (Kafka, Spark). Background in data security, encryption, and compliance frameworks. Experience with payer core systems (e.g., Facets, QNXT, HealthEdge) data models. Familiarity with regulatory and quality reporting requirements such as CMS reporting, HEDIS, and NCQA. Automate Governance and Quality using tools. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
