Centreville, VA, Baltimore, MD, or Washington, DC

office is now hiring a

Jr. Bridge Engineer

to support our structural projects in the DC/MD/VA region. This role involves working on both conventional and design/build bridge programs. Join a global company that has transformed over 4,400 bridges worldwide! You will work with concrete and steel bridges, deck and superstructure rehabilitations, and have the technical expertise to deliver various bridge designs.

In this role, you will plan and design bridge structures to ensure structural reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities include developing engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, estimates, surveys, and designs. The position is based on a hybrid work model in our Baltimore, MD, Centreville, VA, or Washington, DC offices.

Responsibilities:

Perform conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks efficiently and accurately.

May be assigned as a project or organizational team member, or as a lead engineer for specific disciplines on small to intermediate projects.

Provide input and technical guidance to CAD designers/drafters, designers, and lower-level engineers.

Commit to quality and continuous improvement through innovation and creative thinking.

Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with typically 1+ years of related work experience. An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate or similar certifications may be required.

Skills/Competencies: Working knowledge of CAD and other engineering-related PC software is required.

Salary Range: $62,300 - $109,000
