Entry-Level Component Quality Inspector Job Description: Join Converge, a leading global supply chain partner and subsidiary of Arrow Electronics, as we seek a motivated and enthusiastic individual for the role of Entry-Level Component Quality Inspector. This exciting opportunity is based in Peabody, MA, where you will contribute to the success of our fast-paced electronics distribution center. As a Component Quality Inspector, your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient and accurate management of incoming and outgoing shipments, providing our valued customers with top-notch service. Key Responsibilities: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing information against records such as bills of lading, invoices, and orders. Count and assess items from staging to ensure accurate packaging and shipping. Affix shipping labels and maintain proper documentation for all shipments. Conduct inbound inspections of electronic components using basic inspection tools like microscopes. Utilize Excel-based checklists to record inspection results. Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, handling disputes regarding damages or shortages efficiently. Ensure outgoing shipments comply with specified standards. Perform data entry operations to process orders and manage inventory effectively. Review compliance and shipping documents for accuracy. Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Component Quality Supervisor. Qualifications: 2 years of relevant work experience is preferred. Forklift operation experience is beneficial. Familiarity with cycle counting and inventory management. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data confidentiality. Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel). Excellent command of the English language. This role involves standing or walking for extended periods and may require lifting items up to 50 lbs. Must thrive in a team environment and possess a proactive work ethic. Consistent attendance and punctuality are crucial. Flexibility to work extended hours as needed. Prior experience in distribution and handling electronic components is a plus. Working Environment: This position is typically a fully office-based role, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
