About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Lead Coffee Roaster to create exceptional specialty coffee. In this role, you will roast coffee beans to meet established flavor profiles while collaborating with our team to innovate new blends and roasting techniques. Your expertise in coffee bean origins, roasting techniques, and flavor consistency is essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
Roasting coffee beans to meet company standards.
Developing new blends and roasting profiles.
Maintaining and cleaning roasting equipment.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Managing the storage and inventory of coffee beans.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A high school diploma or equivalent; additional coffee roasting education preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in coffee roasting.
Strong sensory evaluation skills and a track record of high-quality coffee production.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Mechanical skills to operate and maintain roasting equipment.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
This full-time position follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with possible occasional hours outside standard working times.
