The Role and Team The Enterprise Applications & Analytics team, part of our Corporate IT division, is responsible for developing, managing, and enhancing the suite of applications that support Medallia's business processes. We focus on engagement with our business units to tailor solutions that effectively meet Medallia's operation needs while also enhancing reporting and analytics capabilities. Key Priorities: Enhance Medallia's business processes Deliver a reliable single source of truth for effective decision-making Simplify the application landscape for improved support efficiency Design and implement high-quality, cost-effective solutions As a Lead Solutions Architect for Salesforce and GTM Applications, you'll be instrumental in shaping the architecture and strategic growth of our Salesforce and related applications ecosystem. Your collaboration will span across Sales, Marketing, Service, Finance, and IT teams to create scalable, secure, and business-oriented solutions. Furthermore, you'll play a critical role in our Center-of-Excellence (CoE) governance team, evaluating and prioritizing initiatives that align with corporate strategies, ensuring that our investments in Salesforce and connected platforms yield significant impact. Responsibilities Stakeholder Engagement Act as a strategic consultant for Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams, transforming their objectives into scalable Salesforce solutions. Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to develop roadmaps, identify business opportunities, and align technical efforts with strategic goals. Conduct solution workshops to gather requirements and ensure design choices reflect business priorities. Solution Architecture Design comprehensive solutions, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ, and custom applications, ensuring a balance of scalability, usability, and maintainability. Lead evaluations of new features and technologies in Salesforce and external ecosystems to improve functionality and user experience. Provide architectural oversight for complex projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards. Steer build vs. buy decisions, assessing trade-offs regarding scalability, performance, cost, and technical debt. Ensure seamless integration across platforms like NetSuite, Workday, Snowflake, Okta, Adobe Workfront, and more. Lead intricate Salesforce configurations, including multi-step approvals, custom territory models, advanced flows, and CPQ setups. Architect secure and scalable API-based integrations to support various business processes. System Configuration & Technical Orchestration Engage in hands-on complex configurations including security, automation features, and data management. Design and refine data models, automation processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Oversee development of APIs and integrations using Boomi and other ETL tools. Manage DevOps processes to ensure robust CI/CD strategies and release management. Governance, Compliance & Innovation Contribute to the Salesforce Center-of-Excellence (CoE) by prioritizing and governing change requests and enhancement initiatives. Support compliance with data governance and security requirements. Encourage continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Team Leadership & Development Mentor Salesforce administrators, developers, and analysts, fostering architectural excellence and solution ownership. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance project delivery and operational support. Provide assistance during incidents and major platform updates. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of experience with the Salesforce platform including hands-on solution design and architecture. Proficiency in core Salesforce products: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce Platform. 5+ years of experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, API integrations, and workflow automation tools. Demonstrated ability to lead complex Salesforce initiatives in a global enterprise environment. Preferred Qualifications Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, or Technical Architect credentials. Experience with a Center-of-Excellence (CoE) or governance team. Experience in integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications. Strong background in reporting and analytics. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing executive stakeholders. Compensation decisions consider factors such as responsibilities, experience, location, education, skills, internal equity, and market data.
