Quality Assurance Inspector Classification: Non-exempt Reports to: Quality Supervisor Salary Range: $23-25/hour depending on experience Work schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM M-F, evenings/weekends as needed
Primary Job Responsibility:
Perform In-process and final inspection of different types of conformal coating utilized to protect electronic assembles from harsh environments
Identify defects per IPC-610, J-STD. – 001, and NASA specifications
Communicate all findings and quality issues to team leaders
Measure thickness of coatings utilizing hand tools such as digital drop gauges, micrometers, and calipers
Perform in-coming inspections
Record SPC data and fill out travelers
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent.
2+ years inspection experience in a manufacturing, preferably in a contract manufacturing environment.
PCBA inspection experience
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to understand and use basic inspection tools, such as: calipers, micrometers, and drop gauge
Ability to focus on 10x magnification on a microscope for extended periods of time
ISO9001/AS9100 knowledge helpful
Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
· Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Work may include bending over or crouching. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
