The DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Event Coordinator. Since opening in 2023, our property boasts 200 luxurious guestrooms and 23,021 square feet of versatile event space, including a grand ballroom spanning 12,100 square feet. We seek a dedicated individual with a minimum of one year of event management experience in a hotel setting similar to ours. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of hotel catering, event planning, and the Banquet Event Order (BEO) process. Your ability to juggle multiple events in a fast-paced environment will be essential.
Work Schedule:
Our standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but flexibility is key, as weekend and holiday work may be required to meet the needs of our convention groups. Recognition and rewards programs. Your Role: As an Event Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional service throughout all phases of hotel events. Your responsibilities include: Coordinating and prioritizing tasks to achieve organizational goals. Communicating promptly with internal and external clients through various channels. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to meet and exceed their expectations. Demonstrating expertise in job systems, processes, and products. Managing conflicts effectively and resolving issues as they arise. Influencing both internal and external clients positively. Analyzing problems to derive efficient solutions. Upholding high standards of service by understanding guest needs and offering guidance and feedback. Participating in site inspections and assisting in the sales process as necessary.
