Located in Ft. Wayne, IN, we are seeking a Chief Medical Officer for a 396-bed facility. This facility is Joint Commission accredited and provides a wide array of healthcare services, including: Level II Trauma Center Certified Comprehensive stroke center Accredited cancer program Indiana's only accredited bariatric surgery center
The goal of the Chief Medical Officer role is to set the vision and agenda for improvement in clinical outcomes, as well as resource utilization, patient-centered care coordination, and patient experience so as to optimize the quality of care through rigorous outcomes measurement, data analytics, and performance improvement processes. The Chief Medical Officer will manage the creation, updating, and implementation of quality and safety standards and processes for the hospital to ensure consistency and continuity with the goal of reducing inappropriate variation. The Chief Medical Officer will be a member of the hospital's executive team and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Responsibilities Lead quality and safety initiatives to improve clinical outcomes and patient experience Develop and implement performance improvement processes and data analytics strategies Set and update hospital quality and safety standards to reduce variation Collaborate with the executive team to align clinical strategy with organizational goals
Qualifications
Board Certification or?? Board Certified (equivalent) Minimum of 10 years of post-training practice experience Graduate of an accredited medical school with an M.D. or D.O. degree Has or can obtain an Indiana Medical licensure Preferred: master's level degree (MBA, MPH, MMM, etc.)
Considered candidates must have current leadership experience in an acute care hospital setting and must be able to relocate to the area. How to apply
