Your role - Key responsibilities
Safely load, secure, transport, and offload CarMax vehicles between stores, auctions, vendors, and logistics hubs using a company-assigned car hauler.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of vehicles to support inventory movement and enhance customer satisfaction.
Operate equipment while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and cleanliness, maintaining a well-kept truck and trailer.
Adhere to DOT/FMCSA regulations and CarMax policies including thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, along with compliance to hours-of-service requirements.
Represent CarMax professionally to vendors, store associates, and the general public.

You'll play a vital role in our logistics network, making sure the right vehicles reach their destination on time and in peak condition. This position embodies more than just driving; it’s a chance to represent a brand founded on trust, teamwork, and integrity.
Qualifications and requirements
Valid state-issued commercial driver's license Class A (CDL) required.
2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience required. Military (Heavy/Medium Tactical Vehicle) driving experience is considered.
Current CarMax Associates can apply with a valid state-issued Class A CDL and 2+ years of CMV driving experience at CarMax (non-Class A CMV acceptable), with no preventable safety incidents in the last 2 years.
Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years; must meet CarMax's Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
Ability to fulfill DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements.
Physical capacity to lift heavy objects and winch vehicles during loading.
Proficiency in operating a 10-speed transmission.
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong communication skills.
