Overview
This pivotal role leads a dynamic team of change and communications specialists, driving impactful change initiatives and delivering clear, consistent messaging that supports organizational goals within the mortgage industry. The successful candidate will possess extensive expertise in change management, outstanding communication skills, and comprehensive knowledge of operational procedures in mortgage banking.
Duties and Responsibilities
Change Management Leadership
Develop and execute robust change management strategies to enhance mortgage-related initiatives, including technological advancements and process optimization. Facilitate the adoption of new systems, workflows, and policies through recognized change management methodologies. Evaluate change impacts, identify potential risks, and create actionable mitigation plans for seamless transitions. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment of change initiatives with strategic objectives.
Procedures Management
Oversee the creation and maintenance of standardized operational procedures for mortgage processes, ensuring accuracy and thorough documentation. Partner with mortgage operations and compliance teams to validate and integrate procedures into training and change initiatives.
Team Management
Lead and develop a team of change, communications, and procedure professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Establish clear performance metrics, offer regular feedback, and support professional growth for team members. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality change management and communication outputs within budget constraints.
Communication Strategy and Execution
Design and implement comprehensive communication plans for internal and external audiences related to mortgage projects, ensuring alignment with brand values. Craft tailored messaging for different stakeholders, including employees and regulatory bodies, to facilitate change initiatives. Oversee the development of various communication materials such as presentations, newsletters, training guides, and digital content specific to the mortgage sector.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and align change and communication efforts. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, sharing insights on change impacts and necessary improvements. Facilitate engaging workshops and training sessions to enhance understanding and buy-in for change initiatives.
Measurement and Reporting
Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of change management and communication initiatives, such as engagement levels and project success rates. Provide regular updates to leadership about the progress, challenges, and successes of change and communication efforts.
Compliance
Ensure all change and communication activities adhere to mortgage industry regulations, including those established by relevant governing bodies.

Basic Qualifications Bachelors Degree 5+ years of experience in change management and communications, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Huntington Bank's mortgage products, processes, and systems.
