Fortress Nutrition is actively hiring for a
part-time Canning Line Operators
to work on our Beverage Canning Line on a
part-time/weekends only basis.
The right candidate will have previous experience in machine operating (preferably in the food and beverage industry, not required), and have a stable work history with previous employers.
Must be able to train on 1st or 2nd shift (or pre-determined schedule) during the week for up to roughly 12 hours per week for up to 4 weeks.
Work Schedule:
*The below hours are the standard hours of each shift, and are provided to be referenced from a training schedule standpoint. Training hours are flexible and open.*
Training Hours:
1st Shift
(6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday)
2nd Shift
(2:00pm-10:30pm, Monday-Friday)
Standard Hours:
Saturday & Sunday - Hours May Vary, Start Time Will Be 6:00am or 8:00am, 8-10 Hour Shifts
Job Summary:
The Canning Line Operator will operate the high-speed canning/beverage production line equipment to create, produce, and package products according to client requirements.
What You'll Do: Set-up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain all high-speed canning line equipment, including packaging, filler, seamer, and shrink wrapper to ensure quality and efficiency of product output Notify the maintenance team of mechanical issues that cannot be repaired by the operator Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure equipment and product quality is maintained at all times Provide support as needed by working overtime to help operations and other shifts in staffing shortages Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent 1+ year of previous machine operating experience Must be able to proficiently read, write, and communicate in English
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a bottling and canning facility or food/beverage manufacturing environment with understanding of food safety/quality programs such as GMPs
Physical Requirements:
Frequently required to stand; walk; talk or hear; reach above shoulders; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects, controls, tools or equipment; kneel, crouch and use foot/feet to operate machinery; bend at the waist; climb or balance Frequently required to lift, carry, move, push or pull materials, product or equipment up to 50 pounds Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to ten (10) or more hours in a single shift This position requires reliability & punctuality, strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team*
Compensation Package:
Starting Pay Rate - $20.00 per hour
