As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and the loading/unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a forklift, reach-truck, order picker, pallet jack or other heavy material handling equipment as required. Located in West Jefferson, Ohio.
How you create impact
• Use material handling equipment (MHE) to load and unload designated trailers
• Use material handling equipment (MHE) to move and store materials within the warehouse
• Use material handling equipment (MHE) to pick, verify and pack orders according to operational standard practice
• Use material handling equipment (MHE)or other designated equipment to load goods into trailers or other transport vehicles used for distribution.
• Conduct Pre and Post audits of MHE
What we would like you to bring
• High School Education or Equivalent
• 1 year forklift experience required
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
