We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Engineering Estimator who will play a crucial role in analyzing and predicting the costs associated with various projects. As a cost estimator, you will evaluate materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses, providing precise cost estimates that will guide our organization in making informed budgeting and resource allocation decisions. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the financial viability and success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive cost estimates for manufacturing projects by leveraging industry standards and expertise.
Create detailed line-item estimates using advanced cost estimating software such as RS Means and ProEst.
Utilize CAD software including AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, and Revit to support your estimating functions.
Conduct thorough research to gather up-to-date information on material prices, labor rates, and equipment costs.
Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to accurately assess required materials and labor.
Identify risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs, incorporating necessary contingencies in your estimates.
Effectively communicate estimates and findings to project stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost efficiency and discover potential savings.
Participate in project management efforts, resource allocation, and milestone management.
Additional Information:
This position may require travel up to 25%.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the engineering field.
Proficient in creating Scope of Work documents and approving vendor bids.
Extensive experience with project management and relevant software tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Certifications from ASPE or Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.) are highly desirable.
Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as lean and root cause analysis.
