Job Title: Quality Control Inspector Department: Quality Assurance
Role and Responsibilities
Perform routine quality inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments, including raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods.
Conduct fit testing for all packaging components to ensure compliance with specifications.
Perform physical and organoleptic evaluations of essential oils, comparing them to approved reference standards.
Test diffuser functionality according to established laboratory procedures and guidelines.
Carry out in-line production inspections in accordance with company protocols and requirements.
Conduct daily quality control checks for compounding activities, as assigned.
Perform regular calibration and verification checks on instruments such as pH meters, scales, and FTIR equipment.
Promptly report any discrepancies, defects, or issues to the Quality Lead or Supervisor.
Accurately document all inspection and testing activities in compliance with company standards.
Maintain organized and up-to-date inventory records for all QC retain samples.
Lift and handle materials weighing up to 35 lbs as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment using 5S/6S principles.
Consistently follow safety protocols and procedures during all QC operations.
Collect raw material and component samples using aseptic sampling techniques.
Flexibility to perform other quality-related tasks as assigned by Quality Management based on business needs.
Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) experience
Proficient in basic math and Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Familiarity with AQL inspection and sampling techniques
Working knowledge of cGMP, GDP (Good Documentation Practices), and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices)
