Family Support, Engagement, and Advocacy Manager About the Role: Fundraising Volunteers play an essential role in sustaining Kids and Car Safety’s mission, resources, and rallying community support. Whether through personal storytelling, creative events, or online campaigns, volunteers help raise critical funds to support child safety initiatives. No matter the size of your network, your passion and authentic voice can inspire giving and save lives. Key Responsibilities: Share your connection to Kids and Car Safety with friends, family, and social networks to encourage donations. Write a social media post about Kids and Car Safety's impact or amplify active fundraising campaigns. Spread awareness of Kids and Car Safety with local influencers, community leaders, or organizations. Launch a peer-to-peer fundraiser (i.e. on Facebook), especially tied to special occasions. Consider matching donations personally or asking your employee to gift-match opportunities. Host a small event (i.e. bake sale, trivia night, garage sale, class, or craft sale) to raise funds. Partner with local businesses for fundraising collaborations (i.e. proceeds-sharing nights, "round-up at checkout” campaigns). Write a short testimonial about your support for Kids and Car Safety to be used in appeals to donors and grantors. Assist in writing thank you notes to donors, showing appreciation and impact of their contributions. Desired Skills & Qualities Enthusiasm for Kids and Car Safety’s mission and willingness to share your personal connection. Creativity in fundraising approaches (online and in person) Strong communication skills and storytelling skills. Comfortable engaging with community members, businesses, and peers. Dependability and follow-through on commitments. Training and Support: Orientation on Kids and Car Safety’s mission, impact, and fundraising tools. Volunteers are required to complete this training video. Access to templates for social posts, fundraiser setup, and thank you notes. Guidance and resources from Kids and Car Safety staff.
