Could This Be For You? The Data Engineer I will be able to identify, assess, fix, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used. The Data Engineer I interacts with business users to resolve reporting problems using techniques such as root cause analysis as well as collecting user requirements. The Data Engineer I will provide recommendations for the design, implementation and monitoring quality procedures for use in the data quality and governance process. The Data Engineer I will have experience in development and data quality and profiling tools for performing data cleansing operations to ensure data is complete, consistent and reconciled. The Data Engineer I will have proficient skills in necessary coding languages to be able to perform data cleansing operations to ensure data is complete, consistent and reconciled. The Data Engineer I will assist with the creation, analysis and support of various business reports and studies.

Your Impact

Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing data quality reports

Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in inventory valuation data

Filter and “clean” data and review reports and performance indicators to locate and correct problems

Work with Financial and Accounting data to provide ad hoc reports and analysis

Assist with Profitability, Revenue, Contract and Warranty projects, taking the lead where needed

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, MIS or Computer Science or equivalent – OR - a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of data analyst experience is required

Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio required, including ability to write and understand SQL queries

Experience with Oracle applications, including PostgreSQL and BIP creation

Experience with Python, Java or C#
