Your Impact at SAM
In the role of GIS Solutions Sales Consultant, you will utilize your GIS knowledge and consulting experience to actively drive sales and customize solutions for our clients. Engaging with customers to identify their needs, you will offer valuable insights and recommend GIS solutions that elevate their operations. This role focuses primarily on expanding our client base in new markets, employing a proactive ‘hunter’ mentality to identify and secure new business opportunities.
Identify and pursue fresh business opportunities within the GIS sector.
Establish and nurture relationships with potential and existing clients.
Apply your consulting expertise to evaluate client needs and devise customized GIS solutions.
Offer expert guidance on best practices and innovative GIS applications.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of our GIS products and services, clearly articulating their advantages to clients.
Craft and present persuasive proposals and presentations tailored to client requirements, collaborating with internal teams to develop unique solutions.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the GIS market to spot growth opportunities.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, addressing concerns and queries related to GIS solutions and services.
What You Bring to SAM
3+ years of sales or business development experience, ideally in the GIS field.
A proven history of achieving business development success, supported by a robust network of industry connections.
Demonstrated expertise in leading business development initiatives with a strong focus on hitting annual revenue and growth targets, displaying a proactive approach.
Prior consulting experience, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A solid understanding of Esri software and technologies.
A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is a plus.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
Adept at working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness to travel to meet clients up to 50% of the time.
