Cyber Systems Engineer
to join our mission-focused team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this critical role, you'll help defend our nation's most sensitive systems by implementing, managing, and enforcing comprehensive cybersecurity policies and practices. What You'll Do:
As a key member of our Cyber Missions team, you will: Maintain a strong security posture
for complex information systems, ensuring strict adherence to policies, standards, and procedures. Support day-to-day security operations , helping to protect systems handling classified information.
Evaluate and implement security solutions
to meet evolving cybersecurity requirements.
Conduct
vulnerability and risk assessments
to support system certification and accreditation (C&A).
Manage system changes and
assess the impact
on security, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks.
Provide
configuration management
of system security hardware, software, and firmware.
Prepare and maintain key security documentation, including: System Security Plans (SSPs)
Risk Assessment Reports
Certification and Accreditation Packages
System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs)
Support
security authorization activities
aligned with DoD frameworks (e.g., NISCAP, DIACAP).
Serve as a
trusted advisor and security authority , helping to shape and enforce IT security programs and policies across systems and enclaves.

Experience in cybersecurity engineering or information assurance

Qualifications
Requirements: 14+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer on projects of similar scope and complexity
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or 5 additional years of SE experience in lieu of a degree)
DoD 8570 IAM Level I (or higher) certification
Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph

Target Salary Range
$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
