Job Description
As a white glove Delivery Driver for DutchCrafters, you will be the final and most important link between our artisan-crafted furniture and our customers. This candidate will be on the road 5-10 days at a time and adhere to all DOT regulations. We are seeking a dependable individual with a strong work ethic who works well independently. This role involves operating and inspecting a 26 ft. box truck, performing in-home assembly, and providing an exceptional delivery experience. We need someone open to change and willing to help our company grow.

Primary Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks. Loading trucks will include organizing the trucks to make customer deliveries fast and efficient. Unloading trucks will include folding blankets.
Transfer Amish-made, hardwood furniture between vendor shops and make local deliveries, while assisting with maintenance of the truck(s).
Deliver furniture to customers in specified regions, providing an exceptional and memorable experience for the customer
Contact customers to communicate delivery window in a polite and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
Provide exceptional in-home white glove delivery service, including assembly of some pieces
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping trucks clear of any potential hazards and keeping loading areas and workstations neat and organized.
Follow all safety standards and requirements within the warehouse according to OSHA standards and company policy
Check all products for errors, defects, and other quality issues, and perform minor furniture repairs
Occasionally assist with warehouse responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
Chauffeur's License (for-hire endorsement) and a standard driver's license in good standing required
The ability to be helpful, go above and beyond, and be a problem solver.
1-2 years of truck driving, delivery, warehouse, and/or inventory experience preferred. Experience in loading furniture safely is a plus.
Organizational skills, detailed-oriented, dependable, reliable, and thorough.
Fast learner, self-starter, and efficient
People person with pleasant and friendly phone skills
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly compensation while loading and unloading the delivery truck, or otherwise working in the warehouse, is $20.00/hour. Mileage rate starts at $0.56/mile with opportunity for increases at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year. Delivery drivers are also paid $12.00/delivery stop.
DutchCrafters' benefits package includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance that begin on the first of the month after your first day of employment. We also offer a company 401(k) plan, 16 PTO days after 90 days of employment, and a generous employee discount.
Hours
When making deliveries, the ideal person can expect to be on the road 5-10 days at a time.
When making transfers between 2-4 days.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
