Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate

Job Description

As a Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will operate a stand-up forklift to manage the shipping and receiving of materials. Your role will also involve supplying materials to production lines and removing them as necessary. You will be responsible for handling all inbound and outbound orders at the food manufacturing plant, ensuring efficiency and quality in order filling.

Responsibilities

Operate stand-up and reach truck forklifts to handle materials within the warehouse.

Manage inbound and outbound orders, working closely with Warehouse and Materials Managers.

Ensure compliance with all GMP policies, including wearing necessary PPE such as hair and beard nets, lab coats, and avoiding jewelry.

Utilize warehouse management systems for data entry and tracking orders between customers and the company.

Use RF scanners and pallet jacks to load and unload pallets in the warehouse.

Adhere to all safety procedures while operating equipment.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 1 year experience driving a forklift.

Proficiency in operating stand-up and reach truck forklifts.

Experience with warehouse management systems and RF scanners.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Understanding of production and general labor processes in a food manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled food manufacturing plant with shifts from 6:30am-3:00pm and 8am-4pm, requiring flexibility between 6am and 5pm. The facility is clean, well-lit, and fast-paced, with standing work. PPE such as hair nets, gowns, bump caps, protective glasses, and steel-toed shoes are mandatory due to health and safety guidelines. Although climate-controlled, the environment can reach up to 100 degrees due to machinery and ovens.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
