This position is based in Mankato, MN, Lakeville, MN, or Sun Prairie, WI, and offers a hybrid work option of up to 50%. Your Contributions:

As a Business Process Documentation Specialist, you will focus on generating, organizing, and maintaining thorough documentation for business processes and procedures. Your role will establish a standardized approach to form design and storage, ensuring all process documents remain current and easily accessible. You will support the process improvement team by providing accurate documentation that enhances understanding and facilitates implementation throughout the organization. Additionally, your responsibilities include managing document systems to maintain effective version control and compliance with organizational standards. A Typical Day: Document Management Organize and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes and procedures. Ensure consistent form design and storage for improved accessibility and usability across the organization. Identify documentation inconsistencies or gaps, collaborating with teams for resolution; maintain a schedule for updates and reviews. Implement best practices in document management for efficient retrieval and updates. Process Documentation Collaborate closely with process improvement consultants to accurately capture and document process changes. Engage with subject matter experts to gather technical details and present them in clear, accessible documentation. Establish guidelines that promote consistent language, clarity, and precision in documentation. Create user-friendly manuals, process flows, and instructions that enhance process understanding and implementation. Document Administration Develop and maintain standards for document formatting, version control, and archiving. Conduct regular audits of documentation to ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices. Explore and implement enhancements to the documentation practices. Stay informed on trends in technical writing and document management for continuous innovation. Preferred Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Intermediate experience in process documentation, technical writing, employee communications, and/or document management. Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines. Exceptional time management skills with the capacity to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the aptitude to distill complex information into understandable documents. Basic knowledge of process improvement methodologies and tools. Proficiency in document management systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. A collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-departmental teams. Proficiency in process mapping tools and software is a plus. Actual titles and compensation will be determined based on various factors, including training, transferable skills, experience, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This position is eligible for variable compensation and additional benefits.
