Position Summary As a Multi-Family Energy Consultant, you will engage directly with homeowners, landlords, and utility customers to provide expert guidance and support for our energy efficiency programs. You will advocate for improvements in electric and gas systems that lead to enhanced efficiency, combining both fieldwork and administrative responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install energy-saving products as directed by program management. Adhere to safety protocols mandated by the organization and our utility clients. Promote energy efficiency programs to customers, trade allies, and stakeholders in your designated territory. Follow the company’s Sales Process, which includes: Making outbound calls to existing customers to achieve energy-saving targets. Engaging new customers through business-to-business outreach. Efficiently managing field visits with customers and program stakeholders. Creating and delivering presentations to raise awareness about our programs. Responding to customer inquiries and concerns to facilitate project progression. Collaborate with utility customers to identify energy efficiency opportunities in their operations. Document on-site opportunities and prepare written summaries for customers and the Program Manager. Discuss technical aspects of energy-consuming equipment, such as lighting, HVAC, and insulation. Utilize spreadsheets and databases to input data and assess energy savings while collaborating with Energy Engineers as needed. Maintain a professional demeanor that reflects the standards of our organization and its utility clients. Build rapport with customers and engage them in conversations around energy usage. Contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere, fostering continuous operational improvements. Assist the Program Manager in onboarding new team members. Lead presentations promoting energy efficiency programs to targeted audiences. Facilitate customer participation in the rebate application process. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. 1-2 years of experience in the electric or natural gas utility industry, facilities management, HVAC, or energy management. Previous experience in energy efficiency or energy modeling is preferred. Experience in customer service, sales, or marketing is advantageous. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Self-motivated and organized with strong prioritization skills. Flexible and capable of managing a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues. Ability to analyze data and provide practical solutions. Strong mathematical skills, including knowledge of fractions, percentages, and ratios. Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Reliable transportation is necessary. Licenses & Certifications Valid driver's license required. Travel Requirements Willingness to travel up to 50%.
