Job Description Join a highly respected precision machining company that specializes in the manufacturing and rebuilding of Babbit-lined bearings. As a Quality Inspector, you’ll be responsible for doing assemblies, reverse engineering, minor grinding and deburring, and final inspections.Must have good math skills, understand decimal places and fractions. You will be required to use manual micrometers inside and outside. Dial calipers, height stands with dial indicators. Responsibilities:
Doing assemblies, reverse engineering, minor grinding and deburring, and final inspections.
Review and optimize posted programs for accuracy and performance
Perform full machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and adjustments
Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and microscopes to ensure they meet specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and work orders to determine machining processes
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years of Quality Inspection, in a job shop or precision environment
Strong blueprint reading and using manual micrometers inside and outside.
Dial calipers, height stands with dial indicators.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for an entire shift
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on precision and quality
