NEEDED: JANITOR
LOCATION: Fayetteville, AR
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Various public buildings
SCHEDULE: (Flexibility required)
Part or Full-time
Day or night schedule

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers,
Maintain positive and effective working relationships with City employees,
Have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.
Responsible for helping to maintain a clean and healthful environment for employees and citizens of the City of Fayetteville.
Empty trash containers.
Dust windowsills, blinds, horizontal and vertical surfaces and clean interior windows.
Test new cleaning supplies for effectiveness.
Clean interior and exterior glass.
Sweep, mop and vacuum floors, including under furniture.
Replace burned out lights.
Spot clean walls.
Buff floors as needed.
Clean parking lots.
Clean restrooms and ensure supplies are readily available.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED is required and one year of related experience.
Must successfully pass criminal background check, including but not limited to convictions, guilty pleas, or no contest pleas to violent offenses, theft offenses and any offense under A.C.A. 21-15-103.
Effectively communicate with others orally and in writing.
Must have the ability to operate general cleaning equipment as well as floor buffer.
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Vision abilities to perform essential functions.
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions.
