CPV is growing! We are seeking individuals interested in a stable career in manufacturing and have the desire to play an instrumental role as we grow. The Quality Inspector inspects materials and products from outside vendors and internal manufacturing shop such as machine shop parts, metal forgings and castings, bar stock, and other assembly parts for conformance to drawing and/or purchase order specifications. Inspects assembled products and picked orders and approves for shipment to customers. Hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30am - 3:15pm, with occasional Saturdays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Examines material, part or assembly for workmanship and visual defects
Verifies specified dimensions of product or material
Compares product with parts list to ensure completion of assembly
Rejects defective parts, and records type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag
Keeps legible and complete inspection records per inspection work instructions
Supports and actively participates, as needed, in customer and regulatory audits/inspections
Is familiar with ISO 9001 requirements and works within the related company specific workflow instructions
Conduct Roving, First Piece, and Final Inspections
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of related job experience
Proficient in the use of tools experience with calipers, gages, micrometers, and comparators is a plus
Programming and ability to operate CMM
Demonstrates attention to detail
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
Responds to requests for service and assistance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Generates suggestions for improving work
Uses time efficiently and completes work in timely manner
Adapts to changes in the work environment
Gathers and analyzes information skillfully
Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
Observes safety and security procedures
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Regularly required to stand
Occasionally required to lift weights (up to 50 lbs)
Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus
