Software Quality Engineer

contract
with a client in
Waltham, MA.
This role involves designing and executing manual and automated test cases, debugging scripts, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to ensure product quality in cardiac electrophysiology systems.
Rate Range:
$45/hour to 55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Software Quality Engineer job responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate system functionality and ensure compliance with user and business requirements in the Electrophysiology domain. Develop and maintain test automation scripts using Python and tools like Selenium or Squish in a Linux environment. Diagnose, debug, and resolve issues in test scripts and automation frameworks, ensuring accurate verification points and reliable test execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, hardware engineers, and field support to ensure product quality and resolve defects. Document test results, write detailed reports, and track bugs and enhancements using tools like JIRA and Git/BitBucket. Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, product reviews, and bug triage meetings to align testing efforts with development goals. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3+ years with a bachelor's degree or 1+ years with a master's degree in software testing or a related role. Proficiency in Python and experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or Squish. Hands-on experience working in a Linux environment and familiarity with Agile Scrum development processes. Pay Details:
$45.00 to $55.00 per hour
