About our Medical Assistant position
The Medical Assistant - Phlebotomy provides support to patients and co-workers by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health center.
What you will be doing!
This position will provide support to patients and co-workers by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in the health center, working with a high volume of patients each day.
Key Responsibilities:
High school diploma or equivalent plus one to two years' experience in a medical setting.
Phlebotomy certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications; experience with electronic health records.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with reproductive healthcare in a clinical office or hospital setting with knowledge of EHR.
Ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish (bi-lingual employees may be eligible for an hourly wage premium.)
Salary Range:
$20.76 to $29.14 hourly

- Performing back-office responsibilities as required by the health center: ensuring exam rooms are prepared, assisting NPs, RNs, and MDs.
- Providing non-judgmental, client-centered care with professionalism and confidentiality; providing accurate information by answering questions and providing appropriate resources.
- Assisting with optimizing patient flow to keep appointments on schedule.
- Establishing and preparing documents for patient records and patient services.
- Providing patients and co-workers with excellent customer service in all interactions and tasks.
