We're looking for a
strategic and data-driven leader
to build the metrics, insights, and reporting frameworks that will shape the future of our content operations. In this role, you'll partner directly with senior editorial and operational leaders to uncover inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and drive smarter decision-making across multiple business units. This is a
New York City-based role
with onsite collaboration required for discovery sessions, workflow observation, and direct engagement with key stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Lead the development of
repeatable metrics and reporting frameworks
to identify duplication, inefficiencies, and collaboration opportunities. Partner with
senior stakeholders (VP, SVP, EVP level)
navigating organizational change. Build
executive-ready dashboards and reports
that tie insights directly to business outcomes. Define and implement
measurement frameworks
across business units with varying levels of operational maturity. Improve
content operations tracking processes , aligning editorial, governance, and resource utilization. Support program and project management initiatives where workflow visibility is critical, such as: Pitch intake & visibility
- streamline interim Smartsheet/Slack workflows and transition to newsroom tools. Editorial governance
- track adoption of story captain models and approval processes across teams. Resource planning
- prototype dashboards for crew/equipment utilization and align with Finance on cost-to-impact tradeoffs. Collaboration reporting
- highlight duplication, inefficiencies, and cross-team wins. Tool assessment
- evaluate potential expansion of collaboration/intelligence tools (e.g., Content Intelligence).
About You
8+ years in
business analysis, data strategy, or operational analytics . Proven experience engaging
senior stakeholders
with clear, persuasive communication. Comfortable working independently in
fast-paced, ambiguous environments . Media, publishing, or content industry experience a plus (not required). Proficiency with
Tableau, Power BI, Excel
and similar reporting/analytics tools. Additional Details The base range for this contract position is $65 - $75/per hour depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
