Linen Room Attendant (EVS)

Under the direction of the Supervisor Linen, the Linen Room Attendant is responsible for the cleaning and replenishing of microfiber cloths, mops and other linens supplied by the Casino. Promoting brand loyalty by engaging in exceptional customer service to both our external and internal customers and engaging in high guests' interaction by answering guest questions, providing information, greeting guests, constant interaction and assisting when possible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Counts and assemble laundered items on cart or linen truck; record amount of linen and uniforms to fill requisition and transport items to floors, sort and store laundered items on shelves after verifying quantity and type and examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability. 2. Conducts inventory to identify items for replacement, keep linen room in clean and orderly condition, Prepare dirty linens for return to laundry facility, and segregate, count and record number of soiled items, etc. for repair or laundry, and place items in appropriate containers or shelves. Assist with loading the linens into the transportation vehicle, utilizing tie down straps to ensure load is secure. 3. Weighs and scale laundry to avoid overloading washers. Load laundry into washers, utilizing module system to set detergent type for specific load to be laundered. Select appropriate drying temperatures depending on linen type. 4. Wipes all washers to ensure soap does not accumulate, clean all dryer lint traps and wipe off outside with a damp cloth, ensure shelves containing cleaning supplies are stocked, labeled, and maintained to department standard, and perform minor housekeeping duties as needed in laundry area. 5. Cleans areas include offices as needed, carpet extraction, floor burnisher, floor scrubber. Ability to utilize 2-way radio for communication purposes. 6. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum one (1) year housekeeping or linen room experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Familiarity with washing, drying, ironing, and folding techniques, including stain removal and fabric preservation.
Attention to detail.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver's license or insurance.

Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.
Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.

Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
