Position SummaryWe are seeking a bilingual Production Helper to assist our welding and painting teams. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with at least one year of shop experience-or recent technical school graduates-who want to develop their skills and grow into specialized roles.
Key Responsibilities• Assist welders and painters with preparing, cleaning, and organizing parts for production and coating.• Sand, grind, and clean surfaces as directed to ensure quality preparation.• Use basic shop tools such as grinders, drills, paint guns, and MIG welding machines for simple tack welds or spot welds.• Handle and move materials manually within the shop area.• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity.• Follow instructions from supervisors and team leaders promptly.• Consistently use personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with OSHA safety standards.
Required Qualifications• Authorization to work in the United States (valid work permit or status required).• Bilingual English/Spanish required.• Minimum of one year of shop experience (or recent graduate of a technical program).• Ability to safely use basic shop tools (grinders, drills, paint guns, MIG machines for basic welds).• Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in environments with heat, dust, or noise.• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
Physical Requirements• Regular lifting, bending, and manual handling of materials.• Standing and walking throughout the shift.• Consistent use of PPE as required by OSHA standards.
Compensation & Benefits
• Starting pay: $18.00 per hour (W-2 employment).• Benefits available after 90 days of continuous employment:Employer-sponsored medical insurance (70/50 plan).401(k) retirement plan with 3% employer match.• Stable, full-time employment with opportunities for growth into Welder, Industrial Painter, or other skilled positions.
