A valid state license is necessary. Experience with Elekta, Mosaiq, and AlignRT is mandatory. Candidates must have a flexible schedule, with shifts starting anytime between 6 AM to 12 PM. The radiation therapist competently performs routine and specialized radiation treatments according to the physician’s treatment plan. They work independently and exercise sound judgment while executing safe and precise procedures. This role requires the ability to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gaining the confidence and cooperation of patients and their support groups is essential. Effective communication and attentive monitoring are key responsibilities. Adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and policies is required to ensure privacy and safety. Optimal patient care must be maintained throughout all procedures. The radiation therapist may be responsible for performing specific procedures and orienting other staff. Experience in areas such as benign brain tumors, external beam therapy, and stereotactic radiosurgery is advantageous. All certifications must be current and readily available at the time of submission. Background checks are required prior to hiring. Candidates should be aware of any background hits or DUIs.
