Progresses patient treatment as appropriate. Carries a patient load that reflects productivity standards. Evaluates patients accurately. Plans appropriate treatment. Sets and meets functional goals. Revises and progresses treatment program as goals are met. Provides instruction to patients and/or family members, as well as other healthcare providers. Maintains appropriate treatment records. Completes accurate daily patient charges. Completes patient records in a timely manner. Accurately reflects in patient charges the time spent and procedures performed, as well as equipment used. Maintains technical expertise through continuing education activities. Attends departmental in-services and stays current with technical advances. Attends scheduled in-services and departmental meetings at a high attendance rate. Follows care path guidelines for patient/family education and documentation of home programs. Follows set guidelines for daily operations. Assists with daily responsibilities as appropriate. Schedules and prioritizes daily work assignments. Delegates patients to support personnel as appropriate. Assists with observers, volunteers, and students as requested. Assists with training of new employees. Demonstrates decision-making skills in non-routine procedures under changing conditions. Coordinates activities of others without supervisory responsibilities. Leads others in the same work performed but does not supervise. Interacts directly with patients and/or customers. Engages with internal and external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff.
