Travel Paramedic - $2,000 to $2,062 per week in Portage, WI

Summary The Paramedic provides high-quality emergency medical care, including basic and advanced life support (BLS/ALS), to critically ill or injured patients in a pre-hospital and inter-facility transport setting. The role requires strong clinical decision-making, collaboration within interdisciplinary teams, and the ability to respond effectively in high-stress environments. Paramedics will conduct ongoing patient assessments, initiate appropriate interventions, and document care in compliance with protocols and hospital standards. Responsibilities Deliver basic and advanced life support (BLS/ALS) to patients in emergency and transport settings. Conduct thorough patient assessments, measure vital signs, and document findings accurately in Zoll EMS Charts. Initiate and implement interventions in accordance with established protocols and scope of practice. Collaborate with physicians, RNs, EMTs, and other healthcare professionals in various crew configurations (Medic/Medic, Medic/EMT, RN/Medic, RN/EMT). Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition, treatment, and response to interventions. Assist with treatments, tests, and procedures as ordered and supervised by providers or registered nurses. Provide safe and compassionate care while stabilizing critically ill or injured patients during transport. Maintain equipment, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure readiness for patient care. Demonstrate strong independent judgment and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
