Travel Surgical First Assistant (SFA) - $2,350 to $2,400 per week in Hendersonvi

Job Title: First Assist Technician (CSFA) Location: Hendersonville, NC Department: Operating Room Shift: 10-hour Days Duration: 13 weeks Shift Details: 10-hour day shifts (06:45 AM – 05:15 PM) Work Week: 40 hours guaranteed Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) with a strong orthopedic background to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment. The CSFA will provide first assist support in a high-volume operating room environment, primarily covering orthopedic, spine, urology, endoscopy, and general surgery cases. Key Responsibilities: Assist surgeons during surgical procedures in the OR, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes Attend daily morning huddles at 06:45 AM Participate in weekly staff meetings (4th week of every month) Adhere to facility’s credentialing and compliance requirements Manage on-call responsibilities as scheduled (weekends approximately every 6 weeks and one weeknight per week) Perform assigned tasks with resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit Requirements: Certifications: CSFA Certification (NBSTSA) – REQUIRED BLS Certification (AHA) – REQUIRED Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in trauma-level orthopedic surgical assistance Completion of at least 2 prior travel assignments (3 preferred) Experience with total joints, orthopedic surgeries, spine, urology, endoscopy, and general surgery No heart or brain surgery experience required Other: Strong work ethic, resilience, and ability to manage change effectively Social and team-oriented personality
