Job Title: Ultrasound Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Client Fetal Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:45 - 16:45) Experience: Minimum of 3 years as an OB Ultrasound Technician License: Valid State License required Certifications: ARDMS OB/GYN, BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program - Minimum of 3 years experience as an OB Ultrasound Technician - ARDMS certification in OB/GYN - BLS certification from AHA Description: The Client-Fetal Medicine sonographer performs diagnostic imaging scans on patients from the 1st to 3rd trimester of high-risk pregnancies. This role involves performing routine and specialized sonography procedures to produce quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers. These images are used for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Scans performed in this department include: - Nuchal Translucency in 1st trimester - Biophysical Profile (BPP) - Detailed (Level II) scans for twins and triplets - Umbilical artery Doppler - Middle cerebral artery Doppler - Transvaginal scans The candidate should have experience with high-risk obstetrics. Skills required include: - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scanning - Amniotic fluid index assessment - Fetal anatomical surveys - Experience with GE equipment
