Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in various areas including AROM, AAROM, PROM, and body mechanics. Identification of environmental barriers and pain assessment is necessary. Candidates will be responsible for assessment, discharge planning, evaluations, and developing long and short-term goals. Reassessments and time management skills are also essential for this role. Experience with cognitive disorders, cerebral palsy, and developmental delays is important. Familiarity with early intervention programs and individualized programs for milestone assessments is required. The role involves ensuring patient safety and education for families. Candidates will work in a community health setting with a diverse patient population facing various developmental challenges. Skills in treating conditions such as torticollis, scoliosis, spina bifida, and autism are beneficial. Understanding of home exercise programs and signs of physical, sexual, or psychological abuse is necessary. Candidates may need to adapt to changing caseloads and conditions and provide therapy in a timely and efficient manner.
